About JGA Caribbean
A Risk-First Perspective on Caribbean Business.
JGA Caribbean is a specialized Caribbean-focused business operation of John Gipson Agency LLC dba JGA Insurance Solutions, bringing insurance, risk management, and governance advisory disciplines together around the risks organizations face in complex operating environments. Our approach begins with understanding the exposure—not simply identifying a product.
WHO WE ARE
Built Around the Risk. Not Around a Product.
Organizations operating, investing, owning assets, or managing exposure in Caribbean environments can face interconnected risks involving catastrophe, infrastructure, business interruption, supply chains, technology, insurance-market conditions, organizational decision-making, and resilience. JGA Caribbean was developed around a straightforward premise: these risks should not be examined in isolation. Insurance can transfer certain financial exposures. Risk management can help identify, assess, prevent, reduce, retain, monitor, or adapt to risk. Governance determines how authority, oversight, accountability, and critical decisions operate when those risks must be managed. Understanding how these disciplines interact can lead to better-informed risk decisions.
OUR STRUCTURE
One Risk Conversation. Clear Professional Boundaries.
JGA Caribbean is a business operation of John Gipson Agency LLC dba JGA Insurance Solutions, a Georgia limited liability company and licensed insurance agency. JGA Caribbean provides the Caribbean-focused platform through which insurance, risk management, and governance-related needs can be evaluated within an integrated risk context. Insurance products and placement are handled through John Gipson Agency LLC dba JGA Insurance Solutions where appropriately authorized and may, depending on the risk and jurisdiction, involve appropriately authorized local intermediaries or other legally permissible placement channels. Risk management and governance advisory services are distinct from the issuance or placement of insurance.
AN INTEGRATED APPROACH
Risk | Insurance | Advisory
01 — INSURANCE
Evaluate which financial exposures may be appropriate for risk transfer and structure insurance considerations around the organization’s actual operations, assets, obligations, and exposures.
02 — RISK MANAGEMENT
Identify and assess material exposures and consider appropriate responses through prevention, reduction, control, retention, transfer, monitoring, and adaptation.
03 — GOVERNANCE & ADVISORY
Examine how authority, oversight, accountability, decision-making, leadership continuity, and institutional resilience can affect an organization’s risk environment.
CARIBBEAN PERSPECTIVE
The Caribbean Is Not a Single Risk Environment.
Organizations with Caribbean exposures can encounter materially different catastrophe conditions, infrastructure dependencies, supply chains, insurance-market conditions, regulatory environments, business practices, and recovery capabilities. A strategy appropriate for one operating environment should not automatically be assumed appropriate for another. JGA Caribbean approaches regional risk by examining the operating environment surrounding the exposure—not by treating the Caribbean as one uniform market.
OUR APPROACH
Understand First. Then Determine the Response.
01 — UNDERSTAND: Establish the organization, operating environment, assets, obligations, dependencies, and objectives. 02 — IDENTIFY: Determine exposures that could materially affect operations, financial performance, resilience, or strategic objectives. 03 — ASSESS: Consider likelihood, consequence, concentration, dependencies, existing controls, and organizational capacity. 04 — RESPOND: Determine whether risks should be prevented, reduced, controlled, retained, transferred, monitored, or otherwise addressed. 05 — ALIGN: Connect insurance, operational risk response, governance, authority, and accountability where appropriate. 06 — ADAPT: Reassess as markets, operations, technology, regulation, exposures, and external conditions change.
Better risk decisions begin with a better understanding of the exposure.

LEADERSHIP
Leadership Across Risk, Insurance, and Governance.
J. Arthur Gipson
President, John Gipson Agency LLC dba JGA Insurance Solutions
J. Arthur Gipson leads JGA Insurance Solutions and the development of JGA Caribbean. His work brings together insurance, risk management, leadership, and governance perspectives to examine how organizations understand exposure, exercise authority, make decisions, and build resilience. Through JGA Caribbean, that perspective is applied to organizations managing risk in Caribbean operating environments and internationally connected markets.
RISK IN CONTEXT
Different Industries Create Different Risk Questions.
The significance of an exposure depends partly on the assets, operations, dependencies, obligations, and consequences surrounding it. JGA Caribbean examines risk within the context in which an organization actually operates rather than assuming the same risk response applies across industries.
JGA CARIBBEAN | RISK INTELLIGENCE
Better Decisions Require Better Questions.
JGA Caribbean Risk Intelligence examines developments affecting catastrophe resilience, insurance and risk markets, governance, and emerging organizational risk through the question that matters most: what could this mean for the decisions organizations must make?
